Passionate Web Developer Creating Beautiful, Functional Digital Experiences

About Me

Picture of Mia Smith

Hello! I'm Mia Smith, a passionate student of web development and design. I love creating beautiful functional websites and apps.

When I am not learning to become a software developer I love building a beautiful future with my life partner Eric. I enjoy spending time with my Mom, Dad and our pets, exploring the outdoors, working out, and constantly working on myself to become a better person than I was yesterday.

I strive to give back to others and spread positivity through my work and actions. Whether I'm coding, solving problems, learning something new, or simply connecting with others, I approach everything with compassion, curiosity, and love.

Completed a rigorous Web Development Fundamentals program and started but did not complete MERN stack and created real-world projects.

Freelance Project @ StrayDog Syndications LLC

2025

Collaborated in a pair programming project with senior developer Eric 'Hunter' Petross (A.K.A. Jagiya) as my mentor to develop a centralized Returning Citizen Hub. This personal GitHub project involved designing and building a web platform connecting returning citizens with essential resources, support services, and community opportunities. As the junior developer, I contributed to frontend and backend development, database integration, and deployment while learning from my mentor's guidance on accessibility principles and user-centered design practices.
